Weekly Recap – 5/28/12 to 6/3/12

Successful workout week, not so much weight loss wise, but just keep plugging away at it.  Had a great weekend long run with my buddy Jen who I hadn’t seen in way too long and just got back from the Y with a yoga/weight lifting combo.

Starting weight – 260.2
Monday – Spinning – 50 minutes
Tuesday – Run – 3 miles
Wednesday – Yoga – 60 minutes
Thursday – Run – 3 miles
Friday – REST
Saturday – Run – 5 miles
Sunday – Yoga – 60 minutes + Weights – 20 minutes
Total Mileage – 11 miles
Finishing weight – 259.6

So, I lost a half a pound this week (0.6), which I know is better than nothing, and offsets the slight gain from last week.  It also puts me under 260, now lets see if I can stay there.  Has been a rough month, with a net loss of only 2.8 pounds for the month of May.  Even a slight loss to start off June is good.

Next week I’ll have to shuffle things around a little, since I have a work dinner on Thursday night, but I can move my run to Friday and should be able to work everything in.

    I am a recent graduate in Food Science (NC State, 2009) and I work for a major food manufacturing company. I love food, but I can no longer eat anything that crosses my path. About 24 months ago I begin a serious struggle to get my obesity under control and reduce my chances of developing Type II diabetes. Since September of '09 I have lost 50 pounds and I still have a long ways to go. I've started eating better and exercising more, including taking up running.
